Welcome to Year 6 Rowan ClassTeacher: Miss TillSupport Staff: Miss Lethbridge & Mrs Cope |
Autumn 1 2026
Welcome back to Newlands, Rowan Class! We have been looking forward to reuniting and beginning another exciting term together. There is lots to look forward to, including practical lessons, working as a team and enjoying our residential trip to Marchants Hill.
This term, our curriculum will take us on some exciting adventures as we explore a wide range of topics. In History, we will delve into our in-depth study of World War II, discovering what life was like during the conflict and exploring some of its defining battles. In Mathematics, we will develop our skills by learning how to complete calculations involving long division. In Art, we will learn how to draw landscapes using vanishing-point perspective. That’s not all! Before Christmas, we will become budding chefs as we design our own recipes and bake delicious pizzas. So, we certainly won’t be short of opportunities to be creative, curious and hands-on! There is so much to look forward to this term, and we can’t wait to see what we achieve together.
Below, you will find some useful links to documents and websites that can support and enhance your learning throughout the term.
