Welcome

At Newlands, we value all our children as individuals. Developing the whole child is important to us and that aim is reflected in all we do.  We are a small school that has real pride in the close relationship we have with our community.  We understand the needs of our children and work tirelessly to ensure that together, with families, we provide a holistic and relevant education that will prepare our children for the future.

Our wonderful grounds help us to encourage positive outdoor experiences for all of our pupils. Newlands pupils see themselves as global citizens who are able to make connections between their own experiences and life beyond. Learning outdoors is a vital part of the curriculum at our school. All of our pupils take part in residential visits in Years 3, 4, 5 and 6. Our school offers a broad and balanced curriculum that emphasises rich, contextualised learning and provides a journey towards academic excellence year after year. We emphasise the natural world, the great outdoors and our collective responsibility in shaping the future.

Behaviour is ‘outstanding’. Our highly personalised framework is guided by a clear moral code. As a school we share a commitment to equal rights, shared responsibility and mutual respect. Children at Newlands grow to understand their wider responsibilities and strive to meet our high expectations. At Newlands, all of us are passionate about success for every one of our pupils.
